Snorkeling and diving in Marsa Alam (Egypt)

A few weeks ago I was at Coraya Bay at Marsa Alam for a small snorkeling trip.
Some pictures I’ll put online in the near future, but here I have already a nice video for you.

The video was shot with a GoPro Hero Black Edition with underwater housing.
The house reef in the bay was remarkably well preserved and protected by linen and partially barriers to keep out careless snorkelers.
Many Acropora and Montipora species as well as many soft corals and countless Tridacna clams were found on the reef edge.

Species richness was also really amazing, especially at noon time, when the plankton came to the surface by the flood (and turned the water partly red). Even sea turtles were found in the bay.

Have fun!
