Anemone movement

I am firmly convinced that clownfish and anemone do not need much room to live happily together.

Even in my 300 liter tank the squabble Clarkiis did very good.

But after my Quadricolor divided in two in the night after I moved last summer,

the last few months show quite clear that two major Anemones (ca 15 cm) is just too much for my tank.

On the one hand, the constant concern for the beautiful SPS close to the anemone, on the other hand the Clarkiis are relatively territorially so that they now not only defend one anemone, now two!

This is especially anoying when working in the aquarium, becaus my Clarkiis like biting my hand.

In short, the anemone must be moved.

Since this is my first attempt to move an anemone I want to tell a little of this endeavor.

1 Attempt – the flower pot method

I use  a flower pot, which I have been watered enough in osmosis water to clean out potential pollutants .

The idea behind this method is based on the anemone the moves to the light, that on the bottom of the pot  (the hole).

Stay tuned

Chris
